POLANCO
Often called the "Beverly Hills of Mexico City", having one of the country's densest concentrations of luxury shopping, with the most upscale restaurants, hotels, and diplomatic embassies. It is one of the most desirable real estate markets in Latin America. Polanco is famed for its luxury shopping along Presidente Masaryk Avenue. Its a nice walk during the day from the Four Seasons to Masaryk Avenue and to shop.

ROMA
Colorful Roma is the hipster heart of Mexico City. Just west of Centro Historico and hugging the eastern edge of the Condesa neighborhood, Roma is the perfect place to explore in if you’re looking to shop at cute boutiques, sip good coffee, and enjoy close proximity to many of Mexico City’s biggest attractions.​

French Brasserie that comes from Chef Eduardo Garcia, and his wife, Gabriela Lopez.

SUD 777
Michelin-starred restaurant offering a multicourse tasting menu and a large à la carte menu. The grilled Octopus, Turkey Mole, and Duck are standouts. If you are feeling adventurous, Beef cheeks with Escamoles (ant eggs) is a unique creation that is worth trying.

MASALA Y MAIZ
Michelin Star restaurant seen on Chef's Table Netflix episode and located in the center of the city. A captivating mix of Mexican technique and Indian touchstones.

MI COMPA CHAVA

This restaurant opens onto the street with a small bar, a handful of stools, and a dining room upstairs —the perfect place for starter cocktails or bar bites. The menu features seasonal vegetables and thoughtfully sourced proteins. Don’t miss the orecchiette with lamb merguez sausage and roasted broccoli-- it's one of the great pasta dishes of the city. Great wine list too.

EM
Michelin-starred restaurant that offers both a la carte and tasting menus. An intimate restaurant that takes a contemporary look at Mexican ingredients. Highly recommend having a pre-dinner cocktail at the moody 686 bar upstairs.

RESTAURANTE NICOS
Warm, family-owned Mexican stop for traditional fare like enchiladas, duck mole & mezcal cart. If you want a meal unlike anything you can find in urban Mexico City, go to Nico's for a transformative lunch. The cooks are excellent, the menu is interesting but traditional, and the service is polished. ​

ULTRAMARINOS DEMAR
Pristine seafood by couple, Lucho Martinez and Fernanda Torres. This restaurant runs on the freshest seafood you can find in Mexico City.
Tacos

EL TURIX

This tiny, bare-bones taqueria normally has a line snaking out the front. If there is no space to squeeze in at the tiny steel counter, most people stand out in front to eat. El Turix excels in the cohinita pibil department. It is the best place to eat in Polanco if you are looking for a quick refuel as you adventure around! ​​

EL CALIFA DE LEON

Made history as the first-ever taqueria to receive a Michelin Star in the 2024 guide. A humble street food stand known for its few menu options, including beef filet, pork chop, and rib tacos.

MAIZAJO
Maizajo is a tortilleria (a shop selling masa and making fresh tortillas in a variety of shades), a taqueria, and a full-service restaurant. A way to experience the Mexico City taqueria experience but with better tortillas. Make sure to order a taco de longaniza and a taco de bistec, anointed with salsas from the salsa bar.

EL HIDALGUENSE
Two-story, classic Mexico City Barbacoa spot. Only open Friday through Sunday. A must if you are a fan of barbacoa.

LA ONCE MIL

Popular, elevated taqueria known for gourmet tacos (like tuna tosada, trompo) and a great ambiance.

TACOS DEL VALLE

New style taqueria, imported from Northern Mexico, gives off a nuevo-retro vibe. Always with a perpetual line of customers waiting to snag a table to try these better-than-average bites. Make sure to try their signature taco, La Tijuanita, and anoint it with one of their eight (!) salsas.

SIEMBRA TAQUERIA
This is the place to get serious about a taco. Siembras corn focus means the primary goal is making incredible tortillas, and they do just that. They equally pay attention on the food they make to order, including octopus, shrimp, and tender sliced beef tacos, squash blossom quesadillas, and tlacoyos stuffed with chicarrones, cheese, or beans. Come here for a lunch that will help you understand the reasons that corn built so many civilizations here and why, as the saying goes, without corn, there is no country.
